Paige went to nursery for the first time today. When Ty went to nursery for the first time it was our first Sunday in this ward. He went right in and has never been brought to us because he was upset. However, Paige was a different story. She started crying right as we walked into the room.
She would not get off my lap and sit at the table and play. She sang the songs on my lap and had her snack on my lap. I thought she would be all about coloring a picture so I sat her down at the table. She just wanted to hold the crayons. However, I was able to get her to stay in her chair when I moved it back by me.
I was able to sneak out without her noticing and went and got Cody to switch him. She was actually doing okay all by herself until she saw Cody walk by. The tears started again and he spent the rest of church with her.
I don't think I am alone in staying with my child because when I walked in there were about 10 children and 10 adults. A few minutes later the teacher came in and that made 10 kids and 11 adults. Hopefully we will have better luck next week.
